Immigration Via Investment (EB-5 Visa) Investors creating employment for at least ten non-relatives by investing capital in new commercial enterprises in the U.S. can also obtain a green card. The investment must be a minimum of US$500,000 in an economically-depressed area, or US$1 million in other sections of the country. An unrestricted green card will only be granted after two years, when the investment has been realized and jobs created.
